The giant pit that was the former site for the Aquafalls project is filled now, but what's next?

Buffalo developer, Frank Parlato, says he's turning it and the adjacent building, into a giant tourist center to greet those coming into Niagara Falls, New York.

"It's going to be the Niagara Center," says Parlato, "anything you need if you're a tourist, you'll be able to get right here."

Parlato plans to develop the first two floors first with restaurants and shops. The restaurants will feature foods from all over the world. He then plans to build a rooftop restaurant on the top floor.

He plans to open the first floor by Memorial Day weekend.

Parlato still has space open for vendors. He wants to involve only local businesses, no chains.
